CHIFCOD

CHIFCOD (the Child to Family Community Development Organisation) is a non-governmental, not for profit, organisation incorporated and located in the Kanungu district of south-western Uganda.
It operates the The Community Transformation Programme, working with grassroots communities to help solve problems of bringing up healthy children, educating them in good schools at primary, secondary and college level and providing job creation opportunities through micro-finance programmes.
It has established the following projects:
- four primary schools
- a new secondary school (open Jan 2008)
- a community college
- a community health programme
- a micro finance cooperative for adults
- a youth cooperative to provide low-interest loans for school leavers
CHIFCOD is financially supported in the UK by "The Friends of Kirima Parents Primary School", registered charity (number 1084297).
