[edit] Re:Stubs, and welcome
No problem. There are so many different stub types even us regulars can't remember them all. And welcome aboard! I'll give you the "official greeting spiel" :)

Do not remove AFD tags unless you are an admin closing out an AFD discussion. You can add a speedy tag, or you can revert the improper removal of an AFD tag, but don’t remove the AFD tag. ♠DanMS 04:10, 31 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Re:Stubs
Hi again - I saw your comment on Caerwine's talk page, so I thought I'd butt in :) At the top right of the Stub sorting pages there's a box listing all the pages connected with the project. The first few of these (particularly Wikipedia:Stub) are well worth looking at before plunging too deeply into stub sorting. As for how many stub templates to use, two or three is usually regarded as OK, but any more than that is seen as overkill (it happens sometimes, say when a mountain peak is at the point where four countries meet, but usually it's frowned on). Grutness...wha? 05:05, 31 October 2005 (UTC)
- Good point about scientific journals. I'd say yes, at the moment, double-stubbing them is best. But mag-stub is big enough now that it probably needs splitting, so I'm going to propose sci-journal-stub and med-journal-stub, both of which would be useful. Grutness...wha? 05:21, 31 October 2005 (UTC)
- I'd say something, but Grutness already said it. Caerwine 19:05, 31 October 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Reporters
Try {{journalist-stub}} :) Grutness...wha? 01:51, 1 November 2005 (UTC)
[edit] re:what stub to use
Tricky ones - anything you use would be approximate at best. I put {{fest-stub}} on the Irish-American one - the other one I put both a US-stub and corp-stub on it, but hopefully someone will be able to thingk of something better. Grutness...wha? 04:57, 7 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Re:Dab page
Leave it. Chances are the other articles will eventually be written. Grutness...wha? 05:51, 7 December 2005 (UTC)

Could You please delete this picture? Thank You. --Zzzzzzus 14:41, 7 December 2005 (UTC)zzzzzzus
- Chemturion can't - only admins can, and only after they've been through WP:IFD. Grutness...wha? 04:58, 8 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Re: Empty category in Cat:stubs
Categories should never appear in Cat:stubs, because stubs are articles by definition. If you find a category in there, change the {{stub}} to {{popcat}}, which is the category equivalent. Grutness...wha? 04:58, 8 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Number of articles in a stub category
Hi again... you could do that, although there are several people who go through the stub types list regularly to update those numbers. One thing you could do is have a look at WP:WSS/T - the "To do" list - particlularly the "In need of re-sorting" section. That has the current re-soprting tasks (similar sort of work to emptying Cat:stubs, but on some of the bigger subcategories). Grutness...wha? 06:17, 8 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] REdundant stub category
Hi again - I'll speedy-delete that one (it's been empty for over 24 hours, since no templates link to it). In future, though, if you find something like this, just list it on WP:WSS/D. There must be an easier way of finding out this sort of thing that asking me every time! :) Grutness...wha? 23:28, 8 December 2005 (UTC)

Please vote to keep my image on Wikipedia. You may voice your opinion on whether or not to have the image deleted at [Dec 10th images]. I also wanted to let you know that it looks like my WBC personal subpage will remain on Wikipedia.--JuanMuslim 1m 23:14, 10 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Please support
Hi. I'm wondering if you could lend support to a proposal for a Stub-sorting Barnstar. The page is here. Have a good day :) SynergeticMaggot 17:24, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
- Sorry, please excuse the wording. I do not mean to ask for a vote, just that you participate. SynergeticMaggot 18:02, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
