[edit] Israel

Hi there! Thanks for the comments about my work. To be honest I mostly use the Knesset website (this page is particulalry helpful) for my work as it has the basic background of the parties and some info about the MKs themselves (though it can be confusing and a bit contradictory - the Democratic List of Nazareth goes by two or three different names - I go by the direct translation of the Hebrew for the most accurate). I also use the Hebrew wikipedia, though my Hebrew isn't the best. Anyway, good luck with the project. I may start writing biographies of MKs when I finish the election/parties series! Regarding your "questionables" Katzsab is Jewish (it's a variation on Katsav, current President), Atashi is Druze and Hadad and Nahale are both Arabs. Keep up the good work, Number 57 22:06, 21 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Considerable kudos

Thank you, Cheeselouise, for putting the infoboxes on these pages and laying down a wonderful foundation to the Beck project :). I find it quite the travesty that every single by far more spurious 'artists' have huge articles, and yet Beck, surely one of the most important musicians of the last 50 years, didn't even have stubs for his singles. (I started quite a few, but I often buggered up when it came to infoboxes, which for some reason seem to disagree with me. Anyhow, thank you, I'm off now to add some information to them :). --It's-is-not-a-genitive 16:17, 24 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Re:SVG

Yes, the way you explained is the way to do it. Upload the new logo (I'm assuming it's NONFREE) and replace it on all pages linking to the old one with the new one. Then, tag the image for deletion as a Non-Used Fair-Use image (use {{Di-orphaned fair use}}). That's it. As for formatting, I can't really say there's a best way; just make the image as basic as possible and make sure the base size is small (300px, give or take, depending on the logo). I can't tell you much more than that until it's uploaded. Cheers! – Alex43223 T | C | E 01:16, 14 December 2007 (UTC)

All good. Nice logo, as well. – Alex43223 T | C | E 00:28, 19 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Mobil.svg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Mobil.svg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. [edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Quixtar.svg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Quixtar.svg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. NotifyBot (talk) 14:25, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
