[edit] The Balloon Farm
Thanks for your edits. The article now appears to meet notability guidelines. I'll remove the tag. -- Mattbrundage 12:59, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Let It Snow... at least we tried
I tried the move that you mentioned. No such luck. You'll need help from an admin to delete your intended destination (which seemed to be a redirect page the last time I checked), and then you can have the article moved to the correct place (I'd ask him/her/it to do both at the same time). If time is an issue, I'd click "Recent changes" to the left and look for actions of an admin involving deletion, although any admin should be helpful if you catch him/her/it in a good move. Best of luck! B.Wind 16:07, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] The Editor's Barnstar
The Editor's Barnstar | ||
For creating an article on Where Were You (When the World Stopped Turning), and for expanding the Last Dollar (Fly Away) article, and for your general overall work in tons of song articles, TenPoundHammer and his romp of Wikipedia-editing otters award you the Editor's Barnstar. (He especially thanks you for the "Last Dollar" work, since he created the article himself.) Ten Pound Hammer • (((Broken clamshells • Otter chirps))) 02:34, 6 June 2007 (UTC) |
[edit] Orphaned non-free image (Image:When You Say Nothing at All.JPG)
Thanks for uploading Image:When You Say Nothing at All.JPG. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 08:33, 21 June 2007 (UTC)
- Added a "mistakenly created by user" to the image. It was a failed experiment. Cheemo 19:49, 21 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use disputed for Image:Beattles.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Beattles.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 02:23, 6 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image removal
I didn't even get a chance to put my rationale on the photo and it was gone! Restore the image or go to hell! Cheemo 16:38, 7 November 2007 (UTC)
- Which image do you want restored? --Carnildo 06:40, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
- Oh nevermind. I'm tired of fighting the anti-fair use bots (and humans) around here. I don't come here every day or every week; I don't live and breathe Wikipedia. I just wanted to help out. It just so happened that, unlike some of the other images I uploaded that have been tagged by the Fair Use Fascists, the one that was lost wasn't being watched by anyone else who could come along and add the fair use rationale because I was too busy to find the template (which, by the way, are damned near impossible to find, as if by design). Indeed, the damn bot ought to provide a link to the rationale templates, rather than just to what it thinks is wrong, so that they can be found easily. OK, if you care ... Image:Christmas Mood.PNG... It was being used in an article about composer Alfred Burt to illustrate the first public release of his famous Christmas carols. I certainly could have justified the use of the LP cover under fair use, because it was mentioned prominently in the article, there is no separate article on the album, and it was important to establishing his reputation. - I've restored the image. It certainly looks like it meets Wikipedia's critera for fair use. --Carnildo 05:38, 9 November 2007 (UTC)
