[edit] License tagging for Image:Au Wai Lun.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Au Wai Lun.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 12:06, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

Thank you for your contributions to the HKFA articles.
[edit] Hong Kong football articles
Hello! This is Hikikomori.hk. It is nice to see you always help updating the Hong Kong football articles, especially Hong Kong First Division League 2006-07. And I have some opinions:
- For the name of foreign football player's acticle. I think it is not necessary to name it the fullname of the player. That means the middle name should not be included. Eg. John Terry's article is not named John George Terry, Jamie Carragher's article is not named James Lee Duncan Carragher, Lionel Messi's article is not named Lionel Andrés Messi. Thus, Julius Pongla Akosah article should be named Julius Akosah, Lawrence Chimezie Akandu article should be named Lawrence Akandu, etc.
- But for Brazilian or Portuguese player's acticle, I think we can name it the nickname if the player have nickname and the name is still available in wiki. Otherwise we name it the fullname. Eg. Cafu, Edmundo, Bebeto, Tiago. Thus, Detinho, Lico, etc.

[edit] Bulova (Hong Kong)
Hi - I notice that you have edited several articles relating to football in Hong Kong.
As I have been creating articles about English footballers from the 1970s and 1980s I notice that many of them played for Bulova in Hong Kong, and I have created a category for them at {Category:Bulova (Hong Kong) F.C. players}. Unfortunately, at present there is no article about the club itself, which I guess only lasted a few years.
Are you able to help create an article about the club or perhaps point me to where I can find out more.
Best wishes Daemonic Kangaroo 12:58, 8 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Hong Kong Football Articles
You did a good job with the HK articles. I put up a few and added a few matrials to your wonderful articles. I followed Hong Kong football in the 1980's through English language media so I actually know most of the players by English names. I felt that I might be able to contribute to your articles. I must be much older than you since I noticed most of your articles were based on 1990's. I was studying overseas by that time and admitted not knowing much about that era. I am new to wikipedia and could not figure how to add the reference. The Tim Bredbury's article came from timbredbury.com. Wan Chi Keung is based on what I remembered. I only talked about Seiko and South China. Alex Miller became player-coach for South China after South China sacked Peter Wong, the current ESPN Cantonese commentator. Peter Wong also coached Eastern. If I have time, I will come up with more English names of foreign players in the 1980's. I have articles for Clive Haywood who played for Bulova and Seiko. We must talk about John Spencer from Lai Sun Double Flowers. I wanted to send you message earlier, but I do not know how to.
Anyway thanks..... hkdollarboy
[edit] Hong Kong football
Hi! This is INTELer.
Thank you for your nice work in articles about football in Hong Kong. Actually I'm a Hong Konger that is interested in football too. I think I can contribute and cooperate with you by adding more info to your articles (this'll be easier for me as I'm living in Hong Kong and have more access to such info). Besides, I'm wikifying and categorizing them too. The following categories were created by me to hold your wonderful articles:
I hope we can work together to improve the standard of the articles. ^^ INTELer 09:51, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
- I added a couple of templates about football in Hong Kong:
- Hope you'll find them useful. Links for them were added to the related categories for the convenience of you and other HK football contributor. INTELer 12:18, 24 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Chung_Ho_Yin.jpg
Hi. When you uploaded Image:Chung_Ho_Yin.jpg, you did not specify complete source and copyright information. Another user subsequently tagged it with {{GFDL-presumed}} and for some time, it has existed on Wikipedia under the assumption that you created the image, and that, just as with all of your text contributions, you agreed to license it under the GFDL. This assumption, however well-meaning, is not legally sufficient and the tag is being phased out. Images using it are being deleted.
This image has been tagged for deletion and will be deleted in one week if adequate copyright information is not provided.
If you, personally, are the author of this content, meaning that you took the photograph yourself or you created the chart yourself (and it does not use any clipart that you did not create), please retag the image with a free image copyright tag that correctly describes your licensing intentions, usually {{GFDL-self}} or {{PD-self}}. Please also make sure if you have not already done so that you write a good description of what the image depicts, when you took the photo, and other important details. This will allow Wikipedia to continue using the image.
If you did not create the image or if it is derived from the copyrighted works of others, please keep in mind that most images on the internet are copyrighted and are not suitable for use on Wikipedia. Wikipedia respects the copyrights of others and does not use images unless we know that they have been freely licensed. Any creative work is automatically copyrighted, even if it lacks a copyright notice. Unless the copyright holder has specifically disclaimed their rights to the image and released it under the GFDL or another compatible license, we cannot use it. If you did not create the image, simply do nothing and it will be deleted in a week.
Please feel free to contact me on my talk page if I can be of assistance or leave a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions with any questions you may have. Thank you. MER-C 13:47, 25 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Non-free use disputed for Image:Scaa.jpg
This file may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading Image:Scaa.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read carefully the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content and then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 21:52, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:BMA_Cup.JPG
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:BMA_Cup.JPG. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. [edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Shekkipmei.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Shekkipmei.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. [edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Loud-Speaker.JPG
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Loud-Speaker.JPG. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Additionally, if you continue uploading bad images, you may be blocked from uploading. STBotI (talk) 09:40, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

- Hi, I see that you removed the fairuse rationale warning (and from a number of other images). However, the image still needs a fairuse rationale so I put the notice back. Do not simply remove the warnings. -- Ricky81682 (talk) 21:08, 22 November 2007 (UTC)

- In particular, Image:Yellow & Red Card Brothers.JPG, Image:Loud-Speaker.JPG, Image:Pong Pong Twins.JPG, Image:Dr. First-Aid-Kid.JPG, Image:Mr. Scoreboard.JPG, Image:SCAAGreenman.JPG, Image:Ballman.JPG, Image:SCAA Family.JPG, and Image:SCAA Family Egg.JPG all need fairuse rationales. -- Ricky81682 (talk) 21:13, 22 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] SCAA Family
A proposed deletion template has been added to the article SCAA Family, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of SCAA Family. [edit] AfD nomination of SCAA Family
An editor has nominated SCAA Family, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/SCAA Family and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 18:59, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Category:Kitchee FC players has been superseded
Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Category:Kitchee FC players, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Category:Kitchee FC players has been superseded by a similar category (typos in name, expanding abbreviations, fixing capitalisation, renaming to comply with the "by country" format and conversions from singular to plural or vice versa). (CSD C2).
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Category:Kitchee FC players, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. [edit] Categories
Please help me to categorize the article of football competition (in Hong Kong) according to the year.(It is not a easy job after I catagorize some of the articles you wrote.) Example, [[Catagory:2000 in Hong Kong]] for a Hongkong competition held in 2000.Shrimp wong (talk) 06:59, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Chan Ka Chun
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Chan Ka Chun, and it appears to be very similar to another wikipedia page: Lai Man Fei. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case.
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 10:15, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Re: Hong Kong-Shanghai Inter Club Championship

[edit] About the HK-Shanghai competition again
But on this page (滬港球會盃香港大球場爆發 南華挑戰上海申花), we can see a sentence that "球隊的目標是重奪失落兩屆的滬港球會盃,為港爭光。". So I think we can talk about the 2005 competition should be categorized as Hong Kong-Shanghai Cup or not.--Antonytse (talk) 12:37, 6 May 2008 (UTC)
