Talk:Chevie Kehoe

[edit] Most Notable for...?
Kehoe is not most notable "for his attempts to build an all-white country by overthrowing the United States" as they article currently states. Kehoe is most notable for being a white-supremacist murderer. It is not a matter of POV to state the circumstances for which he is objectively best known: it would not be a credible assertion to insist that the general public was more aware of his political efforts before his trial and conviction for murder of a family for their ammunition stash. [edit] The Trial
Firstly, I've removed the comments allegedly made by Kehoe regarding the Oklahoma City bombing as being irrelevant. More importantly, what should be expanded here are the circumstances around Kehoe's trial. Even if, in my ideal world, Kehoe and the rest of his ilk would be kept busy using their beloved ordnance on themselves, I believe that striving for the highest standard of justice for the lowest of the worst is the benchmark of the civilised society they so ironically despise. Kehoe's trial was, to put it mildly, extremely questionable, whatever the jurisdictional rules or defense offered. Besides, make a mess of the trial like his, and we get another quasi-martyr sitting on his tattooed ass in the pen, whining and litigating for ever after, all for the 'cause'? So, if I find anything good and sourced, I'll attempt to go into it myself albeit with reluctance: so far it looks like Kehoe hasn't a fan-club here but I don't want to get into edit wars with the like type who seem to inevitably crawl from under rocks whenever their precious icons of constitutional freedom get commented on. We'll see. Plutonium27 (talk) 20:49, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
- I'd like to see his Oklahoma comments added back in. Also, just as an FYI, some neutral facts about him (straight-A student, etc) can be found in this NYT documentary. Sherurcij (Speaker for the Dead) 19:17, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
