Talk:Chesterfield, Missouri
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
are you going to quote your sources, this is an obvious rip-off of another website easily found from Google... unbelievable!
- If by rip-off you mean to use text from a government website. That is what it was. Government websites are a great place to find Wikipedia content. Now you can believe it! 67.67.114.201 03:14, 25 Jun 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Possible copyright infringment
I have begun editing the history section to deal with tone, formatting, and wikilinking issues, but I have now realized just how close this is to the information listed here: [1]. I believe this is a copright violation. If we have the permission of the author of this text (Dan Allen Rothwell, according to the same page) or if the text is public domain or released under a license then we do not have permission to use this text. But that is doubtful as this is available for sale at Chesterfield City Hall. I am going to revert my changes as they are on copied material. --Rballou 16:05, 28 August 2006 (UTC)
- I am going to leave my changes, but the first version of the text appeard in this edit: [2]. --Rballou 16:07, 28 August 2006 (UTC)
- I removed the history section. Use the link above to rewrite any pertinent information from the history, but I do not think we can use it without contacting the author. --Rballou 02:19, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
