[edit] Critics support?

Quote: Apollon’s critics claimed that they had found a major new talent in Russian poetry. Perhaps I am misunderstanding, but it seems like "critics" is used incorrectly to mean "supporters" or "readers"? -- Bubbachuck 13:46, 25 August 2005 (UTC)

Strictly speaking, a critic is someone who publishes what they think of something (usually literature, plays etc), whether what they think is good or bad. Hence "critical acclaim" - being liked by most of the critics. I took this to mean that "those who worked as critics at the magazine claimed..." but I agree it's not as clear as it could be. [edit] Trolls

Some Troll inserted the phrase "played with grandad;s boobies granny's penis" randomly in the document (probably selected by a program). Has this occured in other wiki articles as well? Just a cry from the watchtower...
