Talk:Chelsea tube station

[edit] Crossrail 2

The creation of this article seems to have caused quite a bit of controversy. It is understandable that people are concerned that this is jumping the gun a bit, as this line has been on the drawing board for more than a century and is currently not planned to begin construction before the likely completion date of Crossrail 1 in 2017. However, surely its wikipedia's role to inform readers of this safeguarded route, as long as it is made clear that this is a proposed line, being developed by Crossrail and Transport for London. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.160.195.96 (talk • contribs)

This article contains little that is not contained in Chelsea-Hackney line, essentially this is a copy/fork. MRSCTalk 11:44, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
In essence I would agree with you, however I believe it is beneficial to retain an individual article about every extant / proposed tube station for the benefit of readers and editors when linking. --AlisonW (talk) 11:57, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
I can agree with that for something that has detailed plans and/or funded. However, this station doesn't appear to even have an agreed location. A redirect will provide the necessary linkage to the information. MRSCTalk 14:52, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
