Chez Paree

Chez Paree was a Chicago nightclub, opened in 1932 and closed in 1960. Located in the Streeterville neighborhood of Chicago at 610 N Fairbanks, the club was home to mnay of the great Jazz and Vaudeville acts of the time: Nat King Cole, Louis Armstrong, Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennet, Bob Hope, Miton Berle and so on.

The Chez Paree was originally opened in 1932 by Maike Fritzel and Joe Jacobson. After reported financial problems operating the large club, it was sold to a group of parters in 1948; Jack Schatz, Donjo Medlevine, Al Kaiser, and Dave Halper.

At the hieght of Chicago mob influence, the Chez Paree was noted for having been frequented by many of the recongziable mob names of that era.
