Chew Reservoir is a small reservoir located at the head of the Chew Valley in Greater Manchester, England.
Built between 1912 and 1914, the reservoir was the highest constructed in England, at 1,600 feet (488 m) above sea level[1], until the Lamaload Reservoir near Macclesfield in Cheshire was completed in 1963.
The reservoir is connected to the larger Dovestones Reservoir further down the Chew Valley by a stream called the Chew Brook.
