Chettikulam

Chettikulam is a small town in Tirunelveli District, Tamil Nadu, India.

It is 12 km from Kanyakumari on the road connecting Kanyakumari with Thiruchendur. The nearest town is Nagercoil. The Kudankulam Nuclear Power Project has built a large township for its employees in the village. Chettikulam is the birthplace of the veteran Congress Party leader and former MLA Mr.N.Soundara Pandian. The Soundara Pandianar Nursery and Primary School is named after this veteran leader.

This village has a telephone exchange, bank, post office and four schools. Including the township, the population is nearly ten thousand people.

This village has one Govt. Higher Secondary School in east corner of the village. College facilities are available in Kanyakumari, Levengipuram, Nagercoil and Vadakkankulam.
