The Chetniks of Kosta Pećanac were a Chetnik force which operated in Nedić's Serbia, collaborating with the fascist government against the Yugoslav Partisans.
At the time of the invasion of Yugoslavia, Pećanac was located in southern Serbia. He was then the most well-known Chetnik leader, eclipsing Draža Mihailović and his Ravna Gora movement.[1] Pećanac soon established relations with the Gestapo and also received the blessing of Serbian Orthodox vladika Nikolaj Velimirović.[2]
Pećanac eventually came into conflict with Mihailović's "Yugoslav Army in the Fatherland". Pećanac proved to be the loser in this conflict and by March, 1943, the Germans disbanded his force.[1]
