Chester Rural District
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Chester Rural District was a rural district of Cheshire, England, from 1894 to 1974. It based around the city and county borough of Chester but did not include it, and saw various boundary changes throughout its life. Strangely, it included the civil parish of Chester Castle, inside Chester but administered separately from it.
The Local Government Act caused it to be merged into Chester District along with the city of Chester and Tarvin Rural District.
