Chester Hardy Aldrich

Chester Hardy Aldrich (November 10, 1862 – March 10, 1924) was a Nebraska Republican politician best known for being the 19th Governor of Nebraska.

Chester Hardy Aldrich in Ashtabula County, Ohio, Aldrich graduated from the Ohio State University in 1888. He returned to that school to give the commencement address in the spring of 1911 (just after being elected the Governor of Nebraska).
He started off a lawyer and then was elected a member of the Nebraska state senate. He was elected governor of Nebraska in 1911 and served until 1913. He was elected as a justice of the Nebraska Supreme Court from 1918 and died in office. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, a Freemason and part of the Knights Templar.
