Chestatee High School is a public high school located in Gainesville, Georgia. The school itself was established in 2002 when the evergrowing North Hall school district grew too big. Chestatee has achieved many great things. The School serves the communities of Gainesville, Murrayville, and Dawsonville.

In 2002, Chestatee High School opened its doors to the public. Chestatee High School is an American four-year comprehensive public high school serving students in the Hall County School System. Located fifty miles northeast of Atlanta, it is one of 6 high schools serving Hall County. The high school serves 1,120 students in grades 9-12.

With six years of football under the War Eagles belt, they have reached the playoffs twice, losing both times in the first round. The teams biggest rival is the North Hall Trojans, the school that Chestatee was split from. They have met each year for the past six years and North Hall leads the series 5-1. The one year that the War Eagles beat the Trojans was in 2005, a .600 building year for North Hall. The final score was, 17-10. 2007 marked the first time in school history that the team beat rival Gainesville High School, 35-19.
