Cheryl Paul

Cheryl Paul is a Scottish broadcast journalist, currently working with STV North.
Paul was born in Staffordshire and lived in the county for nine years. She later moved to Invergordon in the Scottish Highlands where her parents ran Kincraig House Hotel in the town. Paul attended Invergordon Academy until she was sixteen when she started working in her parents' hotel. At the age of 19, she married Nick, an I.T. specialist in the offshore oil industry and moved to Aberdeen to facilitate his work.[1]
Paul worked for various oil-related companies in the city as a secretary before joining BBC Radio Aberdeen (an opt-out of BBC Radio Scotland) as a newsroom assistant. She later progressed to become a reporter and a travel & weather announcer.
Paul left Radio Aberdeen to join Aberdeen Journals Ltd. and later, Aberdeen Independent as a general reporter. In 1997, she joined Grampian Television (now STV North) as a reporter and since 2002, has been the station's business correspondent. Paul has also read news bulletins and presented North Tonight on occassions.
