Judge Cheryl L. Waite is one of four judges elected to the Ohio Seventh District Court of Appeals. She was first elected to the court in 1996, and re-elected to that bench in 2002. She served as presiding judge of this court starting in February of 2003. She was the first woman elected to serve on the Seventh District Court of Appeals.[1]
Born in 1959, she received her B.A. from Youngstown State University in 1982, and her law degree from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in 1985.
Judge Waite was an Assistant Law Director for the City of Youngstown, Ohio in 1985, and served as the City's acting Risk Manager beginning in 1991 through 1996.
