Cheryl Heuton

Cheryl Heuton is an American television writer and producer. Along with her husband and writing partner Nicolas Falacci, she co-created the television series Numb3rs.

As a young woman, before becoming a TV writer, Cheryl Heuton worked as a reporter for a weekly newspaper in North San Diego County, California. The paper, owned in part by Jack Ford, son of then former President Gerry Ford, was called the Del Mar News Press. It covered various area communities from offices now far from the Del Mar horse racing track on what was then called Jimmy Durante Boulevard. She now is a successful writer and producer.

As a reporter for the DM News Press, Cheryl covered the community of Rancho Santa Fe. Once, upon returning to the newspaper office from an assignment on "The Ranch," Cheryl stepped into the office, stopped in her tracks and declared with no introduction or prologue,
"Quick. Somebody please say something that reeks of reality!"
