Cheryl Clark Lant (b. January 30, 1944) has been the eleventh general president of the Primary organization of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) since 2005.

Born in Provo, Utah to Charles Verl Clark and Vivian Keller, Lant studied early childhood development at Brigham Young University and married John Glen Lant Jr. in the Salt Lake Temple on September 17, 1963. The Lants had nine children and together they founded a large preschool and developed a successful phonics-based beginning reading program.

On April 2, 2005, Lant was asked by LDS Church President Gordon B. Hinckley to succeed Coleen K. Menlove and become the general president of the church's organization for children.[1] Lant chose as her counselors Margaret S. Lifferth and Vicki F. Matsumori.
