Cherrywood Road

Cherrywood Road is the ground of Farnborough Town F.C.. It lies in the town of Farnborough, Hampshire. The capacity of the ground is 4,900, of these 627 are seated. Up to the mid 1970s they had played at Queens Road. They moved due to lack of facilities. Cherrywood Road was newly built with the help of company worldwide carpets. The ground is formally called The John Roberts Ground but the name is rarely used with fans simply referring to the stadium as Cherrywood Road.
With Farnborough Town FC reformed as Farnborough FC in 2007 the ground is currently undergoing major renovations which should see, thanks to a £150,000 grant from the Football Foundation, new stands at the Prospect Road and Moor Road ends.

On one side of the ground is the Main Stand. This stand comprises covered seating, some of which is elevated above the level of the pitch. The total length of the stand is less than half that of the pitch and on either side there a are small terraced areas. Opposite is another small covered terrace, that runs for around 2/3rds the length of the pitch. This stand does not have an official name. Both ends of the ground are terraces. The Moor Road End is completely open, whilst the Prospect Road End is partly covered (behind the goal).
Away fans of visiting teams to the ground are usually not segregated, although when a big match is placed away fans are usually housed at The Moor Road End. This is especially apparent when the club are playing local rivals Aldershot Town F.C. and Woking F.C..

The record attendance at the ground was 3,581 for an FA Cup First Round Match against Brentford F.C. on November 22, 1995.
