Cherry Patch Ranch

The Cherry Patch Ranch is one of two brothels in Crystal, Nye County, Nevada, USA and is located on Ranch Road. The ranch is owned by Joe Richards.
[edit] History
In November 2005, Heidi Fleiss said she was moving to Crystal and partnering with Richards in order to convert the Cherry Patch Ranch into a brothel with male prostitutes, catering exclusively to women. This would be a first in Nevada. While not illegal under Nevada law, it is not clear how a male prostitute would meet the requirement to submit weekly cervical specimens which are examined for sexually transmitted diseases. Other portions of the Nevada and Nye County regulations only refer to "her" (female prostitute) with apparently no expectation for having a male prostitute. It is also unclear if Ms. Fleiss will qualify for the necessary permits since she has served jail time; Richards will remain the owner.
On November 21, 2005 it was decided that Ms Fleiss would open a new brothel for this purpose. Apparently it would not be possible to remodel the Cherry Patch to host both types of prostitutes and having a separate location would be cheaper. Part of the reason for this is that conversion of the old Cherry Patch would cause all the female sex workers there to be unemployed.
