[edit] History

Headquartered in Singapore and spearheaded by Addison Kang during 2007, Cherry Credits provides micropayment solutions for digital content developers, publishers and aggregators. Cherry Credits' billing system is powered by New Economy eXchange Technology (NEXT), a proprietary billing system developed in-house.

Cherry Credits' payment collection model targets consumers who do not possess credit cards, bank accounts and mobile payment accesses. The niche importance and existences of this group of consumers to businesses is illustrated in The Long Tail concept. It was also a highlight of the Games Convention Asia 2007 conference seminar titled "Micropayments for Games".[1]

[edit] Cherry Credits Physical Scratch Card

Binding the concept of scratch cards and UGVC, Cherry Credits introduced a "purchase over the counter" global scratch card with prepaid CC value.

The UGVC in the Cherry Credits Physical Scratch Card is referred to 'CC’. Consumers can purchase these scratch cards and use CC to purchase in-game items, subscriptions and other digital contents with Cherry Credits and any authorized merchants. Cherry Credits will gradually expand to provide global consumers with the scratch cards as well. [2]
