Cherry Alive is an album by Eve's Plum.
After the major failure of their debut, Eve's Plum fell into a more mainstream sound, recording songs with more prominent pop hooks and radio friendly melodies. The label heavily promoted the first single, Jesus Loves You (Not As Much As I Do). But despite the catchiness of the song, the title threw off radio DJs, who didn't realize the title was a joke, and the airplay of the song suffered because of it. The album was released shortly afterwards on September 19, 1995 and like the unfortunate failure of their firt LP, failed to chart because of the first single flopping. The second single, Wishing The Day Away, wasn't promoted very much and failed to chart as well. Though the third single, Cherry Alive, failed to chart, it did receive some airplay, but not enough to pick it up or save the album.
