Cherpunkal is a small town in Kottayam District of Kerala State in India.

Cherpunkal Holly Cross Church is very famous believed to be established by St.Thomas himself. Every first Friday of the month is celebrated. Lakhs of people throng the Church on this occasion. BVM College and Holly Cross church etc situating here,Pala is the near city, this town situated on the shore of meenachil river. Major cultivation is rubber.
