Cheras Highway route 1 also known as Jalan Cheras and Jalan Loke Yew is a major highway in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The highway was upgraded on 1988 by Metramac Corporation Sdn Bhd. The Cheras toll plaza was in operation from 1991. And until 2004 toll plaza was officially closed. Today the highway is maintenanced by Kuala Lumpur City Hall (Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur (DBKL))

[edit] Current developments

The Plaza Phoenix junctions and Taman Taynton junctions has been upgraded into interchange. Construction began on 2004 and will be completed on the early of 2007. Both projects led by Kuala Lumpur City Hall.
