Cheranalloor (Malayalam:ചേരാനല്ലൂര്‍(ഈസ്റ്റ്)) is a village in Ernakulam District, Kerala, India. It lies on the Periyar River. According to tradition, the village was named by its earlier inhabitants who found this place very fertile and beautiful. The name in its local language Malayalam means "Good place to join".

Cheranalloor is populated by both Christians and Hindus.

A Christian church was established here in 1801 and a school in 1916[2]10°10′54″N 76°28′44″E / 10.1817, 76.4790.

The people of Cheranalloor are known for their love for football and music.
