Cheongju (pronounced [tɕʰʌŋdʑu], literally "clear wine" or "clear liquor") is a clear Korean rice wine similar to Japanese sake, or more specifically, nihonshu. One popular brand of cheongju is Chung Ha (hangul: 청하; hanja: ).photo 1photo 2 There are various local variations, including beopju, which is brewed in the ancient city of Gyeongju.
