Chennithala Kochupilla Panicker

Chennithala Kochupilla Panicker (1040 - 1123, Malayalam Era) was an Indian musical teacher and Kathakali performer.

Sri Kochupilla Panicker was born in Malayalam in 1040 at Othara house in the village of Chennithala near Mavelikara. He taught Kathakali and Kathakali music under Sri Ramavarma Thirumulpadu in Chennithala. He was skilled in playing Kathakali vesham, music, melam and chutti.

His most famous roles were Akrooran in Kamsavadham, Hamsam, Kattalan in Nalacharitham and Kiratham and Naradan in Balivijayam. He also worked as a main kathakali actor in Mavelikara and Paravur kathakali yogams.
