Chelsea High School (New York)

Chelsea High School, formerly Chelsea Vocational High School, is a public high school located in SoHo, Manhattan in New York City. Though the the school occupies a facility that is over 100 years old, it keeps up with technological advancements in education.

The current principal is Timothy Timberlake. The school houses three smaller schools: Chelsea Technical Academy, the Soho Business Academy, and the Soho Communication Arts Academy. The school offers soccer, basketball, volleyball, and track as extra-curricular sports activities. The school's newspaper, the Chelsea Vanguard, was relaunched after more than fifty years of absence in 2006.

It is one of the few schools in the New York City public schools system to offer Cisco Networking Academy. Chelsea also offers the Morgan Stanley Mentoring Program in which students are paired up with a mentor who is an employee at Morgan Stanley. The Morgan Stanley Mentoring Program provides summer internships at Morgan Stanley for the top students at the program.
