[edit] Plot

The Hills are at an Arlen Longhorns football game. The team is losing badly, and the fans are not happy. The cheerleaders come out and they're doing their dance routine, which nobody likes. Peggy thinks that the cheerleaders should be actually cheering instead of performing dance moves. The team loses and everyone takes it out on principal's car. Bobby is the mascot, but he can do little to enthuse the crowd. The cheerleaders have lost the top of the pyramid, and they need a light girl to step in. Peggy volunteers Connie, who is overjoyed that she is now "cool."

The next day, Peggy decides to take on the task of getting the cheerleaders to cheer. Jo Rita, the current cheer coach, is not happy and doesn't take Peggy's advice. At another football game, the Longhorns are once again getting beat badly. The cheerleaders dance, but Peggy decides to get in the stands and chant "Arlen, Arlen, Fight Fight Fight, move that ball with all your might!" over and over again. The players are whipped into action and they start to win. The principal sees the value of cheers, and tells Peggy she is the new head coach, but Jo Rita isn't happy.

At the next pep rally, the cheerleaders are having trouble getting the crowd into a frenzy, even with their great cheers, so Peggy decides that one of the girls needs to get into the other team's mascot costume, but it doesn't fit, so Peggy starts to ram the mascot head on. The crowd sees this and starts to cheer for Peggy to kill the cougar. Peggy sees that violence is the way to go, so for the next few games, their cheers center around stabbing and killing the other teams' mascots. Bobby is always in a costume, and dramatically dies every time. Jo Rita is now Peggy's assistant coach, and she's trying to sabotage Peggy's efforts.

The football team makes it to the final game before playoffs, and they are playing McMaynerberry. The principal gives Peggy the halftime show. The other team is called the Fighting Irish, and while Peggy is designing the show, Jo Rita slowly coaxes her into doing a bit with an Irishman and all the stereotypes.

At the half time show, Bobby is a leprechaun, and the girls are cheering Irish stereotypes. In the stands, Jo Rita has brought in people who are of Irish descent. They are very insulted, and the other team refuses to play in protest of Peggy's hate mongering. So they forfeit but the Longhorns may not be able to keep the win for the playoffs.

At the town council, they are arguing about whether or not Arlen can keep the win. The principal turns on Peggy and says the team is a victim of her racism. They can keep the win, but Peggy has to go. Everyone turns their back on Peggy, even Connie.

At the playoffs, the cheerleaders are back to their old ways. The Longhorns are losing badly. Peggy is denied access to the game and must listen in her car. Connie is fed up, and starts to do Peggy's original cheer, much to Jo Rita's displeasure. The crowd goes crazy and the team starts to win again.
