Checkpoint Strikeforce is a multi-jurisdictional program in Virginia, DC, Delaware, West Virginia, and Maryland to combat drunk driving.[1] Its advertising campaign featured lurid TV commercials of crimson (apparently bloody) water pouring out of vehicles. Its motto is "Over the limit, under arrest." 800,000 drivers were stopped in 2007 at Checkpoint Strikeforce sobriety checkpoints.[2]
