Chechakhata is a census town under Alipurduar police station of Alipurduar subdivision[1] in Jalpaiguri district in the state of West Bengal, India.

As of 2001 India census,[2] Chechakhata had a population of 6847. Males constitute 54% of the population and females 46%. Chechakhata has an average literacy rate of 84%, higher than the national average of 59.5%; with male literacy of 88% and female literacy of 79%. 8% of the population is under 6 years of age.
