"Cheatin'" is the name of a popular Top 10 Country music hit by Sara Evans, released in late 2005, from her 2005 Real Fine Place album.

[edit] Song Information

"Cheatin'" was released as a follow-up single to Evans' big hit from 2005, "A Real Fine Place to Start", which hit No. 1 on the Country charts in September of 2005. "Cheatin'" was a successful Country hit, reaching the top 10, peaking at No. 9, and also reaching the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 69 in early 2006. "Cheatin'" is about a woman angry about her husband cheating on her with another woman. The song talks about all the problems the husband faces for leaving his wife for his mistress, including living in a trailer park and driving an old beat-up car. "Cheatin'" was later associated with Evans' divorce from her ex-husband, Craig Shelske, which is considered ironic since Shelske encouraged Evans to record the song.

The music video shows scenes of the ex-husband sitting in his trailer, very unhappy with his new lifestyle. Evans appears regularly in the music video performing with a microphone inside and outside the trailer.
