[edit] Propinquity

Hi, could do the letters represent in your Venn diagram? Image:Venn.jpg

Thanks, --Sadi Carnot 05:44, 6 December 2006 (UTC)

U = Universe; A = Set A; B = Set B; S = Similarity. --Charlesrkiss 19:45, 16 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Kennedy Center

Your comment is beside the point. It is Wiki policy to represent something by its common and accepted name, especially, as in this case, the JFK Center itself calls itself simply "JFK Center for the Performing Arts" Viva-Verdi 13:52, 2 April 2007 (UTC)

Sorry, but where do you live, who are you, how many times have you visited the KC? Why don't you just call it the Kennedy Center, then? Nobody calls it, or speaks of it as, The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, anyway! They just say, "the Kennedy Center," or "the KC". Although it is/isn't written that way! Although it is explicitly named, in text, in front, as if chiseled in stone, by the ARCHITECT, by the ORIGINAL designers, decision makers, tile setters, bronze casters, builders: "The John F. Kennedy Memorial Center for the Performing Arts". You figure that out, o.k.? What I'm saying is, "my comment is the point" and if you read and understand the inscriptions on the exterior of the KC,otherwise known as the KFC (Kenndy Frickin' Center), you'll understand the importance in the meaning of the word memorial as you would understand the importance of the word living, or the words long after and the sentiment in which the Kennedy Memorial regards the importance of the living arts!

Your Wiki Policy is then full of CRAP! PERIOD! Who the hell are YOU!! HAVE YOU EVER BEEN THERE?? ANSWER ME!! Are you an ARTIST?? I do my best to sign with my real name, not some anonymous alias bull frickin' hidden secret crap name like yours, and I've been there! And I'm an ARTIST! --Charlesrkiss 04:24, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

:May I suggest that you review the following before continuing with this behaviour?

Wikipedia:Civility
And then review the Wiki guidelines regarding titles of articles, a summary of which is noted below:
Wikipedia:Naming_conventions
"Naming conventions are a list of guidelines on how to appropriately create and name pages......This is justified by the following principle:
Names of Wikipedia articles should be optimized for readers over editors; and for a general audience over specialists"
Clearly, this is why you can also access the article by just typing in Kennedy Center.
THEN, if you still disagree with the title of the Kennedy Center article, you may post a request on the talk page for other editors to contribute comments and to agree or disagree with your proposal. You must give that some time to evolve before taking any further action.
Also there would be no objection on my part if you inserted a statement in the first paragraph that the actual name on the building is ......etc. Already, we note in bold face, in brackets, the AKA, Kennedy Center. Viva-Verdi 17:51, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

However, after that sweet little welcome, I feel it necessary to give you a warning. A lot of your talk page edits so far have ended with you violating WP:AGF, WP:NPA and WP:CIVIL. I would like to remind you of these policies and that they must be adhered to at all times. Not everyone can stay permanently calm, but full-blown unprompted personal attacks like the above one about the Kennedy centre are not tolerated, and if they continue may result in you being blocked. Please tone it down. —Vanderdeckenξφ 10:46, 12 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Your recent edits

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button Image:Signature_icon.png located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when.
