[edit] Removing extrasolar planet speculations
I seen that you've removed speculations such as physical characteristics except for mass from a lot of extrasolar planet articles. Others such as radius and temperature are generally unknown. I made formula for radius and temperature found in talk:Extrasolar planet#Formula for radius and temperature. To get actual radius, we must wait for a planet to transit its star or to be directly imaged. Known mass and radius determine density and gravity. To find actual temperature, we must have direct infrared spectral observation on transiting or imaging extrasolar planets. We should find radius and temperature for all extrasolar planets when observations are available, because these are important and needs more physical properties than just the mass. [edit] Updating Extrasolar Visions
Will Extrasolar Visions speculation website be updated again? If so, when? The list has only 160 planets (including planets in our solar system and excluding controversal planets) and the current is 238 exoplanets (exclude objects of over 13 MJ and free-floating objects). BlueEarth 18:16, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
Maybe somebody will take over updating Extrasolar Visions by adding new planets, especially planets that were discovered in second half of 2005, 2006, and 2007, and also updating parameters as of August 19, 2007. BlueEarth 18:36, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Disappearance of 2007 planets from the Catalog of Nearby Exoplanets list
Why did planets that discovered in 2007 in the Catalog of Nearby Exoplanets list disappeared, while there are in the text-based list. The list contains only 182 exoplanets while including 2007 discoveries of exoplanets would have 212 exoplanets. Will one day have these planets reappear in the list? BlueEarth 21:19, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
They didn't forget to add 2007 planets to the list. It was there before and somebody removed these planets from the list. Can you guess why? Will one day 2007 planets add back to the list. BlueEarth 21:50, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Kappa CrB b
Do you know what the properties of a planet such as mass, period, semimajor axis, and eccentricity around Kappa Coronae Borealis. I was searching for it and I can't find it anywhere. I don't know why this planet wasn't there in the Extrasolar Planets Encyclopaedia (maybe it was forgotten) while two others: HD 167042 and HD 16175 appeared four days ago, meaning these properties were known. If so, add the info on the properties of this planet in Kappa Coronae Borealis article. BlueEarth 22:33, 23 October 2007 (UTC)
