[edit] 'Zooven' article
I have deleted your article Zooven, only about 30 minutes after you created it. The article was first tagged with a 'speedy delete' request under the 'spam/advertising' criterion for quick deletion. I did not agree with this categorization, so investigated the external link that you provided. Your The FAQ and other information on your the site indicates that you are the company is still in the testing phases of the search facility (beta) and that your the market is currently limited to only Austin, Texas. These findings led me to delete the article under the 'Unremarkable company' criterion. I indicated in the log summary that I thought there would be a place for an article on Zooven once the site is in full production and once its scope has widened. Further, I would say that until the company is mentioned in a notable publication, such as a wide circulation newspaper or magazine or otherwise garners mention in published information other than that found on its own website, it might be difficult to create an article that survives here for the long term. This is a long winded way of saying 'write the article again - placing the company in an industry context - when the company is more mature'. There are other articles in Wikipedia on companies in this field, such as HotPads.com and BuySell Real Estate, from which you might garner information on how to compose an article that will have a good chance of long term survival. [edit] Image:Zooven beta.jpg listed for deletion
An image or media file that you uploaded or altered, Image:Zooven beta.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please look there to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. — User:Ceyockey (talk to me) 23:09, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
- Listing the image associated with a deleted article is a matter of standard practice as the image is now 'orphaned', meaning there are no articles that link to it and it is unlikely to be used in other contexts. --User:Ceyockey (talk to me) 23:09, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
