Hello. I am Chaser. I have a B.S. in political science and work during the school year as a TEFL teacher in Southern Italy, which is currently taking a lot of time away from Wikipedia. I plan to go to law school in fall of 2008 to become a trial lawyer (not that kind). I concentrate on articles about law, politics, or government, but I also do the occasional oddball article.

Admin info

I am an administrator: Chaser (talk • contribs • blocks • protects • deletions • moves • rights). This means I have an extra set of buttons letting me delete things which violate policy, block users who habitually violate policy, protect articles and quickly revert vandalism. Generally, administrators are knowledgeable about Wikipedia policies, but they have no extra editorial capacity whatsoever. If you disagree with one of my edits, revert it!

If you disagree with an administrative action I've taken, I would also ask you to be bold in reverting. If you're an admin and disagree with a block, feel free to unblock, I won't be offended. I'll check your reason, and if I disagree I'll discuss it with you, without rancor.

Recall

I am open to recall as described at User:Chaser/Recall. If you have a problem with something I've done, I'd much prefer you give me an opportunity to rectify the situation before starting a recall petitition.

Deleted material

If you need access to a Wikipedia article that has been deleted, ask me. If it's not a copyright violation, libel, or personal information, and has not been deleted as a suspected WP:BLP violation, I will provide the text for you.

Note that using the text to recreate a deleted article automatically qualifies it for speedy deletion, and keeping deleted content hanging around in your userspace has gotten editors penalized before. But that's your problem.
