Charles Hodgson is a podcaster and author who lives in Ottawa, Canada's capital city.

Charles produces the podcast podictionary which is an audio word-a-day for word lovers. Each episode is only a few minutes long and explores the unexpected histories of words you thought you already knew.

Charles is also the author of Carnal Knowledge: A Navel Gazer's Dictionary of Anatomy, Etymology, and Trivia due out in October 2006 from St. Martin’s Press. The book, like the podcast, explores the histories of words, but in this case focuses on those words we use for our own bodies. Also unlike podictionary, the book explores words not everybody knows, just so you can figure out what that thing is called that you’ve been looking at in the mirror all these years.
