[edit] ASI scrips

ASI Scrips are the procedures that automate system management, maintenance, and problem management tasks. Scrips can be run remotely on-demand, configured to run periodically, or run automatically upon the occurrence of a sequence of events.[3]

For problems where an automatic resolution is not available in the ASI Scrips database, the ASI client reports detailed problem information to the ASI server. Using HandsFree Networks' software task automation technology, this information, along with a record of actions taken by support personnel to resolve the problem, can be used to create a Scrip automating the resolution of future occurrences of the problem.[4]

With ASI Scrip technology automation of any software based management or support task takes from a few days to a few weeks. This makes ASI truly adaptable and adaptive:

  • We can quickly and cost-effectively meet changing requirements for system management, maintenance, and problem management.
  • We can implement functions that let systems adapt to a changing environment in real-time.
  • Manage and support exploding device populations, and application sets.
  • Protect an increasingly dispersed, mobile, and “unruly” user community from relentless threats.
  • Ensure compliance with increasingly strict regulations governing everything from privacy to financial reporting.
  • Provide better service.
  • Cut costs.[5]
