[edit] Briefly
I am Chancemill, from India. I have been a Wikipedian since November 4, 2003 and a sysop since May 7, 2004. Though, that would make me seem like a really old veteran, the truth is - I have not been very active after July 2004. The nature of my job, and my other pursuits demanded that I cut the time I spend on Wikipedia.
But, Wikipedia has been a concept that has been close to my heart, and I always intended to come back at some point in time. The immediate trigger to my return here has been the controversial Seigenthaler incident, which I had been following quite closely. Somehow, it pushed me to login and voila, here I am! I really don't know if I can sustain the interest, but I really hope to :)
[edit] My topical interests
I am fairly proficient in India related subjects and Hindu mythology, and my other interests include military and political history, philosophy, computer science, languages and literature. Presently, I am evolving some interest in financial management and macroeconomic topics.
[edit] If you really cared
I am currently a management student at IIM, Bangalore. Before this, I worked as a Software consultant with an ERP major for a couple of years. I qualified as a Computer Science engineer from BITS, Pilani. Besides English, I am fluent in Tamil and Hindi. I can stutter manageably in French and Malayalam.
My other interests include postmodernist and contemporary English literature, poetry and Folk-rock. I blog quite regularly here
[edit] What now
Simple! I am going to learn to be a Wikipedian all over again. Let me see how it goes!
