Editing Guidelines |
Please remember these guidelines when editing a film article:
- If a non-film article already exists with the name of the film that you are trying to create an article for, disambiguate and use (film) in the title: Film Title (film)
- When writing an article about a particular film, the general format should be a concise lead section, followed by a plot summary of no more than 900 words, production details, a cast list, a reception section, and references.
- Create an Infobox that tells all pertinent information about the film.

[edit] May need updating
This template may need some updating. I just added Kid Auto Races at Venice and I don't know as yet whether there might be more Chaplin films yet to be listed in the template. 23skidoo 03:07, 30 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] May need splitting
Actually, rather than updating as listed above, I recommend that the template actually be split up into two separate templates covering Chaplin's early shorts and later features. Ultimately there will be articles on each of his films, and there were well over 50 early Silents alone (if the count on my 5-DVD box set is correct). We could put them all on one, but it might be a bit overwhelming. Thoughts? 23skidoo 02:24, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Template
I've been working on a solution to suit all (I hope!). Stole the idea from the Grateful Dead template {{GratefulDead}} Hope you like! Lugnuts 19:51, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
