This article is 95% fraudulent. I am related to Chaudhry Naseer Ahmad Mallhi and knew him personally growing up. Vast majority of so called facts in this article are concocted and outright lies. As an example he is hardly a close relative of Faiz Ahmad Faiz, the legendery poet except that his second cousin was married to a nephew of Faiz. This account is wildly exaggerated, factually wrong and intellectually dishonest. To label him as the founding father of Pakistan is a disgrace and to label him stellar academic/politician and with the kind of pedgree that is highlited is a patent lie. He was at best upper middle class and essentially squandered what little he had. Accounts like this will destroy the reliability of Wikipedia. Based on my personal knowledge of the veracity and inaccuracies of this article I agree with Mr Fowler that it is a hoax perpetrated by one of his family members (grandson) for pure publicity so that he can boast among his family members that his grandfather is in an encyclopedia. It should be removed and only facts with reliable citations be included.→Serenex 00:44, 7 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] ============================

Dear Sir,Aoa:

I have read your evaluation on Malhi sahib's article. You claim that 95% of this article is fraudulent. I encourage you to be specific.

I nor the family has anything to gain by writing a fraudulent article. Any such attempt would not only discredit me but also my Grandfather. This article was not written under an alias, so anyone who knows me can personally challange me.

However since substantial references are provided to confirm the validity of vast chunks of this article, you and everyone else are strongly advised to refer to these before writing reviews.

To assuage suspisions, further references will continue to be added in the passage of time.

Since you are closely related to Malhi Sahib, we both are obviously relations to each other. I am keen to know who you are and how you are privy to more on Malhi Sahib, than his own two sons, whom I am sure you have met and by whose input this article was put together.

Once you have verifialble proof to discredit any section of this article, like I have reference to prove my claims, please approach me.

I look forward to any such input.

Also kindly shed more light on the following:

This account is wildly exaggerated. Please specify how!

factually wrong. Which sections?

intellectually dishonest. Where?

To label him as the founding father of Pakistan is a disgrace ===> please refer to references. They claim no differently.

They themselves and to label him stellar academic/politician ===> no one claims he was a steller academic, however he did publish Tafseer Ul Quran. Copies available from our home in Baddomalhi.

He was an exceptional politician. Few who knew his contributions would disagree.

and with the kind of pedgree that is highlited is a patent lie ====> what is a lie? That his great grandfather was the governor of punjab? or that Chaudhry Ghulam Haider's was not as he is claimed.

He was at best upper middle class ====> How do you classify upper middle class?

essentially squandered what little he had ====> he gave his sisters their due share in inheritance, unlike most others. He also incurred losses due to unkept promises and deceit. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Haroon.tauqir (talkcontribs) 00:04, 30 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Hoax?

Please provide citations for the "Lord Malhi" from a notable source. There is nothing in either Google Scholar or Google site:edu (academic sites). Anyone connected with the Pakistan movement should have turned up there. If you don't provide a reliable set of references, the article will be deleted per WP policies. [edit] Mr Fowler&Fowler and Islescape,

I have noticed that you have placed the article that I have authored under the hoax category. This is based on the fact that I have not provided any references.

Mr fowler/Islescape our family has books about Mr Malhi, by Pakistani journalists, they are in Urdu. If you like I can send you a copy. However I cannot make references to it's ISBN because the material is with the family in Lahore and I am overseas in Australia.

Nawaiwaqt prints an article on Mr Malhi on his Barsi every 12th July, which states just about what my article states. So if you pick any article on the 12th of July from any year after 1991, you will be able to confirm the validity of this article.

However, the authenticity of this article cannot be disputed because I am his grandson and anyone who knows the truth about him would be me.

As to checking the validity of what I have written, it can checked by anyone in the Muslim league archives.

Also our history books mention him and Sialkot convention. How could you not have heard of it?

We have in our collection all the medals that he was awarded at these conventions and I have photographs of Malhi sahib sitting next to the quaid at the sialkot convention.

I have looked at your other articles and I can see that you have particular interest in Pakistan/subcontinent history.

I am assuming that you are more likely than not from Pakistan. If you want I can organise for the material to be sent to you.

However Mr Malhi, nor his Biography is a hoax.

Regards,

Haroon

Dear Haroon, Thanks for your reply. That's fine and apologies for the putting the tag, but please do provide some reliable references, otherwise, sooner or later, someone else will come along, notice the lack of citations, and slap another tag on the article.
