[edit] Illustration of Chasseurs d'Afrique
The picture of Chasseurs d'Afrique charging during the Crimean War is a striking one but unfortunately it actually portrays Austro-Hungarian hussars, either on peace-time manouvers or during the very early stages of World War I (August 1914). The mistake is a reasonable one - the uniforms were of similar colours - but perhaps should be corrected. There are a large number of paintings and photographs of the Chasseurs d'Afrique available in electronic form but unfortunately I have never been able to master the art of downloading illustrations onto Wikipedia. Can anyone help?Buistr 23:35, 15 September 2007 (UTC)
