[edit] Dubious claims without refs

Two dubious claims: that chasselas is Egyptian and that it's related to viognier. According to five cepages references I have the egyptian claim is now believed to be fales. It's like the Syrah from Syria nonsense that the French made up before science came into the picture and showed the claim to be silly. The clonal variation in Switzerland indicates a probably swiss origin. Regarding the viognier relationhip, I can find no reference for this anywhere. The characteristics of the grape are so different that it would certainly be an unexpected relationship, and given that a claim of this sort needs a reference. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Tbyrnestl (talkcontribs) 02:55, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
