"Coincidentally there was a circus in Charlottetown at the same time" - Is this section really necessary in the introduction?

Why was the section on Newfoundland delegates deleted? Newfoundland was present at the Charlottetown Conference, albeit as an observer. The Last Melon 15:52, 7 May 2007 (UTC)
