Page needs some clean-up; I'll work on it some if others can participate. As always, some clarity must be made between "official," "popular" and "promotional" definitions of the area.

I've attempted to stick with official formats here, and the Triangle, Triad, Upstate SC and Atlanta pages have been good referents. The Atlanta metro page has sections on weather, natural history & storms (I have some research on this that would pertain to the Charlotte area; I've done tornado research for NC/SC; have begun winter storm research, and other people have covered the hurricanes), geography and landscape and a handful of other features that would fit well here.

I want to break the lists into columns to keep them from running too long as well at some point.

If any other contributors can find some public domain or user-created pics to accompany sections, that would be excellent - a stadium pic, a skyline pic, a Crowder's Mountain, Lowes Speedway, one of the big lakes, a historical site like Latta Plantation, one of the campuses, the African-American Cultural Center could all be candidates.

I'll try to reserach the demographics and diversity - it would be nice to flesh that out a little more; ditto for the business and corporate side of the city.
