In August 2006, ... starting in the spring of 2009.

In the Spring of 1993...

These wordings are ambiguous. These should be replaced by more precise wording such as March, April etc. The article would lose nothing by this change and would gain a lot by being unambiguous for Southern Hemisphere residents, who interpret the times of "spring" and "autumn" differently to the intent of the article.
