Site of the first ever NASCAR race needs more than stub status.

[edit] High Importance

This article should be Top importance. The track is one of the oldest in the sports, holds the All star race, and one of the 4 crown jewels in NASCAR, the World 600. This deserves Top status. Casey14 00:35, 1 August 2006 (UTC)

This is the old track in Charlotte, the site of the first NEXTEL Cup race. You are thinking of Lowe's Motor Speedway. Royalbroil 15:39, 22 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Photo Request

I am requesting an image of the historical marker marking the first NASCAR "Strictly Stock" (now NEXTEL Cup) race at the track. [1] Royalbroil 15:39, 22 June 2007 (UTC)
