Talk:Charles Manning Reed
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
[edit] Charles M. Reed, Jr.
Reed's son served as mayor of Erie from 1872-1873. When the son was elected mayor, a newspaper pointed out his relationship to the "late general Charles M. Reed." Also, the 1860 census shows the two living in the same household in Erie, the younger shown as Charles M. Reed, Jr. Is it appropriate to mention the son's accomplishment in the father's article and to provide an internal link to the List of mayors of Erie, Pennsylvania? See footnotes 86 and 89 on the mayors page for relevant sources. --Pat (talk) 05:26, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
- There doesn't appear to be anything prohibiting the mentioning of any offspring, especially when they have some notability. --Dtbohrertalk•contribs 06:35, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
